A Fourth of July to Remember The 4th of July is one of the most important celebrations in the United States. It’s a day filled with parades, fireworks, and family gatherings. For me, Emma, this Fourth of July was very special. I am 17 years old, and I live in a small town with my little brother, Jake, who is 10, and our grandpa, Frank. Grandpa Frank is very wise and always tells us amazing stories about his experiences. Everyone in our family was excited for the Fourth of July. Jake and I helped decorate the house with red, white, and blue flags and lights. We hung banners on the porch and put little American flags in the garden. Our house looked so festive! The night before the Fourth of July, we sat with Grandpa Frank. He started telling us a special story about his time in the Second World War. He told us how the sense of freedom and national unity helped him and his friends overcome difficult times. His stories always make me think about how important freedom is and how much people have sacrificed for it. The next day started with a big parade in our town. There were marching bands, veterans, and beautifully decorated floats. Jake and I joined in many activities. We participated in a pie-eating contest, where Jake got whipped cream all over his face, and we played traditional games like sack races. It was so much fun! In the afternoon, we returned home for a barbecue. The smell of grilled burgers and hot dogs filled the air, and everyone was in high spirits. Our neighbors brought dishes to share, and we all enjoyed a wonderful meal together. Inspired by Grandpa's stories, I wanted to do something special. I decided to organize a small ceremony to honor our local veterans. With the help of my family, we invited some neighbors and friends. We thanked the veterans for their service. It felt good to show our gratitude. Jake was so excited. He made a giant drawing of the American flag and gave it to one of the veterans. The veteran, Mr. Wilson, was deeply moved and thanked Jake. Seeing this made me so proud of my little brother. As the evening approached, we all gathered in the town square for the fireworks show. The sky was clear, and the stars were starting to appear. The fireworks started with a loud bang, and the sky lit up with brilliant colors. It was a spectacular show. As we watched the fireworks, I felt a deeper connection to my country and my community. Grandpa Frank looked at me and said he was proud of me for making the 4th of July more meaningful. This 4th of July was not just about fun and fireworks. It was about remembering the sacrifices made for our freedom and showing gratitude to those who served our country. I realized that even small actions can make a big difference. It was truly a Fourth of July to remember.

Every day, Mr. Lee takes the subway to his shop, where he sells traditional goods and teas. His routine seems simple, but Mr. Lee carries a lot of wisdom and history with him. He has seen the city change over the years and knows many stories. His calm presence is like a steady rock in the fast-paced city. Finally, we meet David, a street musician. David often plays his guitar in the subway stations, hoping for his big break. He dreams of being a famous musician one day. The subway is his stage, and he plays with all his heart. Every coin he earns brings him a little closer to his dream. David’s music brings a bit of joy to the busy commuters, and sometimes, they stop to listen and smile. As the train moves through the dark tunnels, these people's lives briefly intersect. Each of them carries their own stories, dreams, and struggles. And so, every day, beneath the bustling streets of New York, the subway continues to carry these stories. It reminds us that we are all part of a bigger journey, and sometimes, the people we meet along the way can change our lives in unexpected ways.

Uso sus vídeos para estudiar diariamente inglés. Primero anoto las palabras que no sé para estudiarlas .Luego los oigo varias veces y , por último, escribo el texto en un cuaderno . Mi inglés, gracias a sus vídeos, va mejorando día a día. Muchas gracias!!

His classmates often teased him because of this. Instead of giving speeches, John preferred solving math problems and reading books about economics. He would share his ideas with close friends, who were always impressed by his knowledge. John struggled in school because of his shyness. One day, he had a particularly difficult time during a presentation and decided to leave school. His parents, however, encouraged him to find a way to overcome his fear. John enrolled in a public speaking class at the local community center. Slowly, he gained confidence and decided to return to school. This time, with the support of his teachers and the skills he learned, he managed to succeed. John worked hard and finally graduated. After high school, John dreamed of studying economics. Unfortunately, he was rejected from the top universities he applied to. In 1979, something unexpected happened. During a visit to a local university, John met Dr. Harris, a well-known economist. Dr. Harris liked John and invited him to attend some lectures. The very next day, John, who had no formal enrollment or permission, dressed in a neat outfit. He carried his father’s old briefcase, which was empty except for a notebook and a pen. For the summer, John would dress nicely and spend time with students and professors at the university. Dr. Harris and others knew John wasn’t a registered student, but they found his presence inspiring and let him stay. John even found an empty seat in the lecture hall and made it his own. He took diligent notes and participated in discussions. Ten years later, at the age of 29, John published his first book on economics, titled “The New Economy.” This book became a bestseller and changed the way people thought about economic policies. After that, John wrote many more books and became a famous economist. John’s journey shows that even when others doubt you, believing in yourself and following your passion can lead to amazing success. John knew something his teachers and classmates didn’t: true talent lies in the determination and curiosity of the learner.
